Industry effect of job hopping: An agent-based simulation of Chinese construction workers

摘要: Job hopping affects the development of industries in terms of efficiency and quality of work. It is a problem for the Chinese construction industry, where excessive job hopping is detrimental to meeting the current daunting challenges involved in the industry’s transformation and efficiency improvement. To provide an exhaustive analysis of this effect, game theory is combined with social relationship networks to create an agent-based simulation model. Simulation results indicate that the frequent job moves of Chinese construction workers have a negative effect on their skill development, employment, and worker relationships, as well as results in sharp increase in employer labor costs. The findings point to the need to act for the benefit of workers and employers and maintain the development of the industry.

Untethered quadrupedal hopping and bounding on a trampoline

摘要: For quadruped robots with springy legs, a successful jump usually requires both suitable elastic parts and well-designed control algorithms. However, these two problems are mutually restricted and hard to solve at the same time. In this study, we attempt to solve the problem of controller design with the help of a robot without any elastic mounted parts, in which the untethered robot is made to jump on a trampoline. The differences between jumping on hard surfaces with springy legs and jumping on springy surfaces with rigid legs are briefly discussed. An intuitive control law is proposed to balance foot contact forces; in this manner, excessive pitch oscillation during hopping or bounding can be avoided. Hopping height is controlled by tuning the time delay of the leg stretch. Together with other motion generators based on kinematic law, the robot can perform translational and rotational movements while hopping or bounding on the trampoline. Experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control framework.

A job-insertion heuristic for minimizing the mean flowtime in dynamic flowshops

A new adaptive job-insertion based heuristic is presented to minimize the mean flowtime in a dynamic flowshop consisting of machines. Job orders arrive to the system randomly, and the job arrival or release dates are not known in advance. The heuristic is derived by inserting new jobs into the scheduled sequence as needed when the machine becomes free. Computation results indicate that the proposed heuristic performs 2.7%–10.8% better than the SPT dispatching rule, which is currently one of the most effective methods for minimizing the mean flowtime in dynamic flowshops.

Analysis of dispatching rules in a stochastic dynamic job shop manufacturing system with sequence-dependent

Stochastic dynamic job shop scheduling problem with consideration of sequence-dependent setup times are among the most difficult classes of scheduling problems. This paper assesses the performance of nine dispatching rules in such shop from makespan, mean flow time, maximum flow time, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, number of tardy jobs, total setups and mean setup time performance measures viewpoint. A discrete event simulation model of a stochastic dynamic job shop manufacturing system is developed for investigation purpose. Nine dispatching rules identified from literature are incorporated in the simulation model. The simulation experiments are conducted under due date tightness factor of 3, shop utilization percentage of 90 % and setup times less than processing times. Results indicate that shortest setup time (SIMSET) rule provides the best performance for mean flow time and number of tardy jobs measures. The job with similar setup and modified earliest due date (JMEDD) rule provides the best performance for makespan, maximum flow time, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, total setups and mean setup time measures.

摘要: To improve the management of the new generation of employees, the authors have discussed the relationship between the personal-organizational values fit and job involvement of the new generation of employees, and made perceived organizational support as a mediating variable. The empirical results found that the personal-organizational values fit had a significant positive effect on job involvement of the new generation of employees and the perceived organizational support became as the mediating variable.

Energy-aware fuzzy job-shop scheduling for engine remanufacturing at the multi-machine level

摘要: The rise of the engine remanufacturing industry has resulted in increased possibilities of energy conservation during the remanufacturing process, and scheduling could exert significant effects on the energy performance of manufacturing systems. However, only a few studies have specifically addressed energy-efficient scheduling for remanufacturing. Considering the uncertain processing time and routes and the operation characteristics of remanufacturing, we used the crankshaft as an illustrative case and built a fuzzy job-shop scheduling model to minimize the energy consumption during remanufacturing. An improved adaptive genetic algorithm was developed by using the hormone modulation mechanism to deal with the scheduling problem that simultaneously involves parallel machines, batch machines, and uncertain processing routes and time. The algorithm demonstrated superior performance in terms of optimal value, run time, and convergent generation in comparison with other algorithms. Computational results indicated that the optimal scheduling scheme is expected to generate 1.7 kW∙h of energy saving for the investigated problem size. In addition, the scheme could improve the energy efficiency of the crankshaft remanufacturing process by approximately 5%. This study provides a basis for production managers to improve the sustainability of remanufacturing through energy-aware scheduling.

摘要: 跳频作为扩频通信的一种常用技术,以其截获概率低、抗干扰能力强和保密性好等优点,在雷达和通信系统中得到广泛应用。然而,非合作条件下的跳频信号辐射源识别作为一大难题,不仅由于其对噪声影响敏感,信号的非线性、非高斯性和非平稳性使得很难在其原始信号空间实现跳频信号分类识别。现有的一些分类识别算法,如稀疏表征分类算法(SRC),仅使用单个信号样本而非整体样本表征测试数据,过分强调稀疏特性而忽略信号样本之间的相关性。为解决上述问题,本文提出一种基于核空间投影和联合表征的跳频信号辐射源指纹特征识别方法。该方法将核空间投影、相关特性表征以及个体分类学习融合到同一个联合表征框架,通过该框架实现辐射源信号分类识别。实际跳频信号的大量实验表明,与几种最先进的识别方法相比,所提算法具有可行性和有效性。

摘要:

基于常规直扩体制的不足,笔者分析了跳码扩谱的必要性,提出和研究了一种新的预编码跳码扩谱通信抗干扰技术体制,重点讨论了预编码跳码扩谱的基本原理与自编码跳码扩谱的异同点、关键技术等,最后分析了其基本性能。该体制和性能已在实际中得到初步验证。

A carbon efficiency upgrading method for mechanical machining based on scheduling optimization strategy

摘要: Low-carbon manufacturing (LCM) is increasingly being regarded as a new sustainable manufacturing model of carbon emission reduction in the manufacturing industry. In this paper, a two-stage low-carbon scheduling optimization method of job shop is presented as part of the efforts to implement LCM, which also aims to reduce the processing cost and improve the efficiency of a mechanical machining process. In the first stage, a task assignment optimization model is proposed to optimize carbon emissions without jeopardizing the processing efficiency and the profit of a machining process. Non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution are then adopted to assign the most suitable batch task of different parts to each machine. In the second stage, a processing route optimization model is established to plan the processing sequence of different parts for each machine. Finally, niche genetic algorithm is utilized to minimize the makespan. A case study on the fabrication of four typical parts of a machine tool is demonstrated to validate the proposed method.
